FIRST AWARENESS RALLY SCHEDULED!!

On this coming Saturday, three of the organizations sponsoring the March on Washington will attend the very first awareness rallies in Bowie, Maryland. Please help us to raise awareness by signing and sharing the petitions, attending the rallies if you are in the area, or by printing and passing out some of the informational brochures available on the official site. Together we can truly make a difference for Veterans struggling with thoughts of suicide, and living with symptoms of PTSD. Please show your support to help save lives.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Many of our service members feel abandoned by their Government, by their families, and by the public. Many times they don’t get to express themselves until it’s too late. Veterans struggling with depression and other symptoms can feel like suicide is the only way out. We must understand PTSD in order to fight the root causes and help prevent Veterans from becoming suicidal.

Signs of PTSD include:

  • Irritability or outbursts of anger

  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Hypervigilance (on constant “red alert”)

  • Feeling jumpy and easily startled

Other Symptoms Often Include:

  • Anger and irritability

  • Guilt, shame, or self-blame

  • Substance abuse

  • Feelings of mistrust and betrayal

  • Depression and hopelessness

  • Suicidal thoughts and feelings

  • Feeling alienated and alone

  • Physical aches and pains
